Teleconsultation Consent
Last updated: 16 July 2026
This Teleconsultation Consent ("Consent") explains how online consultations are provided through Global Neuro & Spine Care Pvt. Ltd. ("Company", "we", "our" or "us") and the terms on which you ("you", "the patient" or "the user") agree to receive them. Please read this Consent together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. By proceeding with a teleconsultation on our platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this Consent.
What Teleconsultation Means
A teleconsultation is a remote consultation between you and a registered healthcare professional ("the Doctor") conducted over chat, audio or video through the Global Neuro & Spine Care platform, without an in-person physical examination. Teleconsultations are provided in accordance with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 (issued under the Indian Medical Council Act framework) and other applicable laws.
Role of the Platform
Global Neuro & Spine Care acts solely as a technology platform that connects you with independent, registered healthcare professionals. We do not ourselves practise medicine, provide medical advice, or guarantee any diagnosis, treatment outcome or cure. The Doctor is solely responsible for the clinical care, advice and prescriptions provided during your teleconsultation, and exercises independent professional judgement, including whether a condition is suitable for teleconsultation or requires an in-person visit.
Voluntary Consent
Your decision to use teleconsultation is voluntary. You confirm that you are consulting of your own free will and, where you are booking on behalf of another person (such as a family member, minor or dependent in your care), that you are authorised to provide this Consent and share their information on their behalf.
Limitations and Risks of Teleconsultation
You understand that a teleconsultation is not a substitute for an in-person examination and has inherent limitations, including:
- The Doctor relies on the information, history, symptoms and any reports you provide; incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the advice given.
- A physical examination is not possible, and certain conditions cannot be assessed, diagnosed or treated remotely and may require an in-person visit or investigations.
- Technical issues such as poor connectivity, audio or video failure, or interruptions may affect or prevent the consultation.
- The Doctor may, at their discretion, advise an in-person visit, further tests, or decline to consult if teleconsultation is not appropriate for your condition.
Not for Emergencies
Teleconsultation is not intended for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing an emergency or a life-threatening condition (such as stroke symptoms, severe or sudden weakness, loss of consciousness, difficulty breathing, chest pain or severe injury), do not use the platform — call your local emergency number or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete and truthful information about your identity, medical history, current symptoms, medications and allergies.
- Follow the advice, precautions and follow-up recommended by the Doctor, and seek in-person care where advised.
- Do not record, reproduce or share the consultation without the Doctor's consent.
Prescriptions
Any prescription is issued by the Doctor at their sole professional discretion and in accordance with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020. The Doctor may decline to prescribe certain medicines where not permitted by law or where clinically inappropriate for a remote consultation.
Confidentiality and Data Privacy
Your consultation and health information are treated as confidential and are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, applicable laws and our internal security controls. Consultation-related information — including chat messages, prescriptions, uploaded reports and system activity logs — is stored using industry-standard security practices to support continuity of care, customer support, and legal and audit requirements.
To maintain service quality, patient safety and platform performance, Global Neuro & Spine Care may periodically conduct internal quality reviews using anonymised consultation data wherever possible. Access to consultation information is restricted to authorised personnel who may access limited information only when required for quality assurance, technical support, complaint resolution, fraud prevention or compliance with applicable legal obligations. These reviews are conducted solely to improve the quality, reliability and safety of the services and are never intended to interfere with the doctor–patient relationship. We do not disclose your personal health information to third parties except where required by law, with your consent, or as described in our Privacy Policy.
Right to Withdraw
You may decline or discontinue a teleconsultation at any time and choose to seek in-person care instead. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any consultation already provided, and certain records may be retained as required for continuity of care, legal, regulatory or audit purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acknowledgement and Consent
By proceeding with your consultation, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Teleconsultation Consent, the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, and you agree to the processing of your information for the purpose of providing healthcare services through the platform.
