Dr. Amit Kumar Ghosh is one of India's experienced neurosurgeons with over two decades of expertise in brain, spine, and functional neurosurgery. He currently serves as Consultant Neurosurgeon and In-Charge of Unit I at the Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata. He is recognized nationally and internationally for his contributions to neurosurgery, research, teaching, and innovation. He completed his MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College and earned his DNB in Neurosurgery after extensive residency training at the National Neurosciences Centre, Kolkata. He further enhanced his expertise through fellowships in Microneurosurgery (Japan), Neuro-endoscopy, and Functional & Epilepsy Surgery at The Ohio State University, USA. Dr. Ghosh has authored numerous scientific publications in reputed international journals and actively participates in neurosurgical research involving brain tumors, epilepsy, movement disorders, traumatic brain injury, and neuromodulation. He is also a faculty member for the National Board of Examinations and serves as an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Calcutta. Dr. Rohit Mishra is an accomplished Neurosurgeon currently serving as the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery and Consultant Neurosurgeon at Charnock Hospital in Kolkata, where he established the Neuro OT and Neuro ICU facilities. He earned his MBBS from JSS Medical College, Mysore, completed a direct 6-year DNB in Neurosurgery from the National Neurosciences Centre at Peerless Hospital, Kolkata, and holds a Fellowship in Neuroendoscopy from NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur. With over 18 years of clinical experience, Dr. Mishra specializes in complex cranial and spinal surgeries—having performed more than 1,500 brain procedures and 3,700 spinal surgeries. His expertise spans traumatic head injury care, brain tumor resections, aneurysm clipping, minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgeries, and pediatric brain trauma.
