Air Marshal M. S. Sridhar AVSM (retd) is a distinguished Neurosurgeon with over 22 years of post-M.Ch specialized experience following his neurosurgical training at NIMHANS, Bangalore. Having served in the Indian Air Force since 1986, he has held prestigious appointments as Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, Deputy Commandant, and Commandant at premier military medical centers, including Command Hospital Air Force Bengaluru and Army Hospital Research & Referral in New Delhi, eventually retiring as Deputy Chief Integrated Defence Staff (Medical). His extensive surgical repertoire includes over 4,000 operations spanning micro-neurosurgery, complex 360-degree spinal fusion and CV junction stabilization, endoscopic cranial and spinal procedures, Gamma Knife surgery, microvascular decompression, and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for movement disorders. Beyond his clinical practice, he serves as the National Convener for Neurosurgery for the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and an examiner for leading medical institutes.
